      Good Company to work for.

      Pros

      The over all compensation and challenging work. We build multiple stadiums, wind farms and confidential projects across the country. I have worked for other companies and I know many co workers who would agree that Mortenson treats its employees well, and that the grass is not greener on the "other side".

      Cons

      The Challenging work requires much from a family, whether it's the average 60hr work week for on-site management or the travel (moving) from project to project, but that is all part of construction. The job is always changing.

      Pros

      Great company to work for. They value investing time in the teaching and development of it's employees, while setting clear expectations on performance. Very laid back and flexible when it comes to your time, as long as you stay on top of your work. Fun, family culture with great pay and benefits.

      Cons

      Need a little bit more organization in terms of the initial onboarding of new employees. I personally did not have a problem picking up on things quickly, but some new employees may get lost without direction. Once you show that you are capable of doing the work they will invest in your development.

      Experience, money, exposure, vertical construction, safety culture, company growth, people within the company, benefits, movement within the company, relocation, peers

      Cons

      The work-life balance could always improve. Expect to work 50 plus hours on salary for the company. The benefits and salary make it worth your time.
