Pros
You become almost like family with your coworkers. Working in a job that helps the members of the community is very rewarding. A lot of teamwork goes on in this facility.
Cons
Pay could definitely be better. Nurses and techs are underpaid for the conditions they work in. Mostly understaffed, and if fully staffed people get put on call solely for the fact of not wanting to spend money to pay them, which was said to me directly by administration. It drastically affects patient outcomes, yet they create unrealistic patient outcome goals to meet that don’t align with the inadequate staffing provided.
