Pros

Really interesting projects, wide variety of areas of work and exciting opportunities. And a lot of flexibility if you find a particular area or field you want to do more in. Generally friendly and supportive colleagues who for the most part really want to help each other out and support their colleagues professional development. Senior management in the organisation very approachable and travel to offices quite regularly to engage with staff. A really good social vibe in the Leeds office. Generally positive overall company culture and good company ethos on work/life balance. Can vary between teams, but as a general rule good support given to staff who want to become professionally qualified in their field.

Cons

Annual pay rises over the last number of years have been really poor, and pay and benefits in general starting to fall considerably behind what competitors are offering. Recent company restructuring could have been handled better. Senior management haven't explained why the restructure is happening, what it sets out to achieve, and how its success is to be measured. Not enough support given to staff who take on new client accounts for the first time. Just a case of "here is a project, now crack on" rather than somebody taking time to give proper background, context and high level overview and support of how the account works and what the team member is responsible for. Inevitably leads to issues on projects and a lot of unnecessary stress for the team member. No single consistent and coherent company wide policy on home working. Simply seems to be a case of individual team and unit managers imposing and enforcing their own arbitrary rules which are entirely dependent on their own personal opinion on home working. Inevitably leads to colleagues in the same offices, and at similar levels of seniority, having to work to different hybrid working rules, which is clearly and grossly unfair.
