      some interesting assignments, some good people. has the potential to become a strong company in my sector if management can get a grip

      Cons

      sadly lacking in any kind of coherent or consistent strategy, seem to treat staff as low-cost cattle to be messed about and lost on projects forever, career management is largely paid lip service to. lots of favouritism. a miracle it makes money

      Pros

      Mott MacDonald's projects profile is very good. Lateral management makes it possible to get involved at all levels in the development of the business and on projects. Ambitious plans. Avoids redundancies during difficult periods. Good international experience and travel opportunities are a real pull. Excellent career opportunities throughout.

      Cons

      The very top level can be too distracted by the it's traditional business of transportation and heavy civils. Would be good to see public support for the newer industries. Mott MacDonald is the largest power consultancy in the world - would like our company to promote this more.

      Pros

      Good international coverarage, generally good morals, exccellent people, Good place to learn. A stepping stone into a good career.

      Cons

      Poor management. A bonus system that rewards long-termers and senior management means company is extremely risk adverse. Antequated internal systems. System depends on maximising cheaper younger employee and protecting long termers. Big hole in the middle. Not a place to have a long term career.
