Pros

Good salary in comparison to competitors

Cons

Work-life balance awful. No support to develop in your career and too much responsibility for lower positions. Easy to burn out.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We really appreciate your feedback. Colleagues are encouraged within the quarterly catch-up with their line manager to set career goals together. For additional career guidance and support, we also provide the opportunity to all colleagues across the group to select a mentor of their choice. We will also feedback your concerns raised above with the relevant HR team.

Pros

Technically very good individuals. Really nice people to work with on a day to day basis. Some global opportunities.

Cons

The management of the transport division does not look after employees fairly. The transport division does not adhere to wider company people policies and values. Poor transport business strategy left the division vulnerable and subsequently led to substantial redundancies in 2020, including graduates. Lack of vision and willingness to invest in training, research and development, and thought leadership. Always behind the curve.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback, it means a lot to us and we will always review as an organisation. 2020 was a challenging year for the industry, with some projects stopping suddenly and the pandemic impacting on other opportunities, leading to some difficult decisions having to be made within our Integrated Transport division (part of the Transportation unit). Whilst this was challenging and understandably very difficult for those impacted, the division continued to follow our company policies, including those relating to our people and ongoing investments. In 2021, the division is in a stronger position with some exciting and innovative projects that we are continuing to deliver for our clients and provide opportunities for our staff with a renewed focus on professional excellence, innovation and training.

Pros

-the rule about office being always close to the train station

Cons

- cutting salaries during COVID, - colluding with Jacobs, WSP and Arup about salary cuts to make sure that people won't change for competition, - firing people instead of using furlough scheme, - claiming that people have to be fired because there is no job for them, whereas people in London stay until 9PM to finish off things, -hypocrisy about life-work balance (see above), -lots of red tape around even the easiest things,
