      Review of Mott Middle East MEP Team (Bangalore) This review is only regarding the middle East MEP team in Bangalore. The attrition rate in this team is more than I have seen in any other MNC. Management expects you to always wear a smile and stay silent, even when faced with the following challenges: Unpaid Overtime: Most days, you’ll end up working 4 to 5 extra hours without any overtime compensation. Weekend Work with No Proper Compensation: You’ll often be asked to work on weekends as well, but there won’t be fair compensation for your time. If you raise concerns about this, you’ll find yourself under scrutiny. Lack of Job Security: Office politics, especially from those who have been with the company for a long time, can jeopardize your job at any moment. Special Note for Plumbing Team Candidates: Plumbing team is led by people with people with poor technical skills and zero leadership skill. Think twice before joining this team.

      Lucky but unlucky

      Pros

      Motts has one of the best work cultures out there for engineer consultancy… at least it did just after Covid when business and projects were booming. It’s a good place to start out not a good place to stay for job progression.

      Cons

      Just like any other large consultancy, the business is quite cut throat when project work dwindles. For example, due to the wind down of a massive project, there has been 5-10 redundancy rounds in the last year as the business hasn’t been able to fill in the void for the project that was finishing. This has affected work moral and team dynamics. Furthermore, the work is relatively risk- adverse and the business doesn’t take on construction stage and/or challenging projects. So if you want to be technically challenged, this is not the place for you.

      Sydney Metro work was great, but this is winding down

      Cons

      This is the most unprofessional company I have come across. Management does not care about their employees and clients. Only about their own boys club that came over from Aurecon. Bullying is quite common without any action undertaken. They go through great lengths to protect each other and don't care if they ruin their employees lives.
