Pros

Experience resource pool (At one time, there were numorous senior level individuals that could always troubleshoot problems). Array of sectors

Cons

Far too often it felt like many of your peers and management were cynical and self absorbed. There was a very coorporate ladder feel here and always felt like every had their own best interest before your own for the sake of their advancement. If you were good at your position, it was difficult to move into another, even if it coincided with long term career goals. Pay was significantly lower than other places. Employee owned, but only if you're fortunate enough to be asked. High stress workload and never incentivized for your efforts.
