Outdated model but major potential to improve
Pros
Full per diem, remote work and travel, keeps you working with exception of current pandemic and oil prices, deemed essential during this crisis, 401K and health insurance
Cons
Cap for Party Chiefs is $25 an hour I'm told. If you don't speak up you will never receive a pay increase and moving into other positions is very closed door. Often you have to work 6-7 days a week. Client is king here so being communicative and political is key, unfortunately. Blue collar mentality that promotes within friend groups. Since they switched to a different payroll company it has been a nightmare at times getting paid correctly. Work work work. You can forget time with family or paid time off. You work as much as you want. As long as you work very hard and don't express your opinions about safety, salary, or unsatisfactory working conditions (keep your head down) then you can almost guarantee to keep working. Reputation based to a fault.
