Pros
I enjoyed working at My Left Foot. I loved my coworkers. They were some of the best therapists you could ever meet. I adored my kiddos and their families. I felt supported and cared about by the owners. I know I could always reach out to Jon if I had a problem I needed help with and he would help. The kiddos were sincerely cared about by the therapists, the admin staff, and the owners. The kiddos were never just numbers or dollars to anyone who worked there. Anytime we had something come up with a patient, the situation was carefully considered and decisions were made in the best interest of that specific child and their therapist. From everything I know about the company from before I worked there, during my time there, and after I worked there, the team of therapists they have has always been amazing. The therapists at MLF have always been extremely smart, caring, experienced, supportive of one another. They have always done a good job hiring the most talented, caring, and personable therapists. Some of those therapists have been with MLF for more than a decade, many others several years. I think longevity like that says it all.
Cons
They have always required their new therapists to work Saturdays or Sundays for the first year of employment so that they can provide therapy to the kiddos who are in school Monday - Friday. For some people that is very hard. Also, as much as we love them, handling kiddos with behavioral challenges can be exhausting. Lastly, having evaluations hanging over your head can get stressful at times.. Others don't mind.
