Pros

MySpace is a surprisingly fun place to work. Working at scale, great work-life balance. But also watching a company crumble from the inside. Not always fun in that sense but fascinating to see it and how the response from mgmt is on the inside.

Cons

From a technical standpoint there's plenty to learn but the things being built are a wasted effort because people aren't really using it.

Pros

Flexible hours, low stress, working at huge scale. Great location (downtown Seattle). I think there was a lot of potential for making a significant difference.

Cons

Working on a dying product that is trying to be turned around but there's enough debt (technical, design, or otherwise) that it's unlikely to happen.

Pros

Strong software development team; very interesting projects; cool environment; open minded people who shared knowledge and experience. Transparent management who had excellent communication with all employees. Very good product managers and middle level management.

Cons

Bad management decisions at the very top level. Lack of any vision or strategy to make the company successful, which eventually led to massive layoffs and MySpace's decline.
