Pros

Good leadership and solid pay and benefits. They provide the tools you need to get the job done and are strong at supporting individual store initiatives. Pay seems to exceed the competitions (my assistants make more than our competitors managers based on the pay scales I see here) and the benefits are pretty complete.

Cons

Like any large company, they can tend to rush things from top to bottom at times, which leads to dealing with corrections after the fact. But in a highly competitive business, that is to be expected as you battle for market share.

Pros

In the store, polite fast paced people. Job security, if you get to SM.

Cons

Company makes many promises about how they treat employees, but do not deliver. Always short handed, every store. Expect Store manager to work 70 plus hours. Turn over rate is horrible.
