      Can be exciting - if you don't mind overworking

      Pros

      Extremely interesting projects. Unique engineering opportunities to work with a number of one-of-a-kind spacecraft developments. Tons of smart, but overworked smart folks. Feels like you are in a college campus. An acceptable level of benefits and compensations.

      Cons

      Tendency to overwork because of tight schedules of projects. Can be called a slacker if you put 50 hours per week. Hard to move up. Getting a management position in a different field can be tricky. Relatively high degree of job instability due to a high degree of dependency on projects.

      Pros

      The prestige, the laid back environment and college campus setting. They have good lunch time sessions that highlight science, astronomy and space exploration. They also hand out anniversary pins/stickers for major missions as well as upcoming missions.

      Relaxed environment, exciting to work in the space program

      Cons

      Everyone is ensconced waiting for retirement, even the young people. Not a lot of hard workers, and if you do work hard, no one notices
