Pros

Lots of cool stuff to see on base, once in a lifetime opportunity.

Cons

Pretty boring some times, being that there are mostly older people there.

Pros

Interesting projects and amazing potential.

Cons

Crippled by massive bureaucracy that gets worse every day and bickering between centers and between centers and HQ.

Pros

For the most part, people who work for NASA love their job and embrace the mission, which creates excellent morale (see Employee Viewpoint Survey rankings, year after year).

Cons

Can be very difficult to become an "insider"- few employees in the professional ranks ever leave. "Us" versus "them" mentality regarding contractors can make life difficult for some.
