Pros

-Actually got a chance to make a difference -Highly respected by experienced engineers and managers -Very interesting work; feels meaningful -Learning how Launch Pad 0A works is a great experience -In general, this type of work is excellent experience in the eyes of future employers -As an intern, was provided with absolutely free dorming for the summer, where I enjoyed a lot of time with other interns -The pay was very nice

Cons

The surrounding area is a bit slow, and very rural, which is not my preference.

Those Who Do vs Those Who Don't

Pros

There is no agency like it. Rich in history and with a renewed focus on Mars exploration it is an exciting time to work for NASA

Cons

There are a lot of folks who have worked there 30, 40, 50 years. I am all for historical knowledge BUT it seems like very little is expected from these employees. With these employees holding higher GS level billets, lower level employees are expected to pick up all the slack which in turn drives younger employees away. Time there doesn't translate into great work.
