The bureaucracy you find in working for government organizations is quite omnipresent. If you want to enjoy the comfort of working for a big company, this place is for you. If you're an out-of-the-box thinker, you might find it frustrating to work here. A lot of things come down to politics, which is something you'll have to get used to. The education reimbursement programs - which were once very good and among the best in the country - have completely diminished.
At Kennedy Space Center, the food is absolutely terrible. When I last worked there, there were 3 Subway restaurants on center, with very few other options. Since Kennedy Space Center is fairly remote, off-campus options are quite far and would take 15-20 minutes to get to.
