Pros

Great opportunity to develop in the media industry. Learn sales techniques in the distribution of informational content such as news and entertainment.

Cons

Multiple business groups make it difficult to identify project ownership. Poor transparency within the business. Leadership development programs being modified due to business re-org ie. GE/Comcast deal.

Pros

When it was GE owned company, there were a lot of learning & development opportunties. Also, everyone else that was manager and below were working just as hard as you were- so you had a good team around you.

Cons

Lack of salary, opportunties of advancement were given to external GE employees and not to internal NBC employees, extremely high volume of work and lack of support

understaffed and overworked, low pay, little recognition or praise, little attention to work-life balance, uneven career advancement opportunities, success is tempered by broadcast network's setbacks, very corporate and beaurocratic
