Pros

One of the best companies to work period. Most of the staff are very experienced and super professional. Even the youngsters (interns, page, management program or junior positions) are thrown in the deep immediately. Within a short period they catch up. Without any doubt the best learning experience. Excellent and broad content. Very competitive base pay. Very stable job without too much turn around or restructuring.

Cons

No room for growth. You will end up more or less in the same position after decades of work. The only way to get promoted is to get a hiring manager to champion you and pull you in a his/her new position. In such a case the salary increase will be very little since it's all based on 5% increase rather than market value. Most jobs don't offer overtime except if you a Union employee. The worst HR ever! Many of the upper management are back stabbers as they are already eyeing their colleagues jobs.

Pros

Great Product, vast resources,

Cons

The politics are over the top. Most of the EVP's and management spend most of their time sucking up.

Pros

The Seattle office has great views, collaborative atmosphere, good salary and benefits.

Cons

Unknown job stability after our joint venture msnbc.com was purchased outright by NBCUniversal. Many layoffs have occurred. Some of the decisions don't seem well thought-out at the upper management level. Employees have become distrustful of upper management.
