An Embarassment to the Cyber Security Industry and as an MSP

The people in the SOC were easy to get along with. Splunk Certifications up to Architect are paid for if they even allow you the time to complete the courses.
Cons
Outright negligence towards issues and pushing lots of issues MSP customers should know about under the rug because the company had caused the problem and didn't want to admit to it. A fix and forget mentality, despite security coverage sometimes being lost for months without anyone knowing. It is an absolute embarrassment for a company that says they specialise in Cyber Security to not prioritise keeping the customer secure, only protecting themselves. When I was there, management had no clue how to manage. Technical teams were left without staff and nothing was being done about it other than more workload piled on and little support from the company given. It took me 10 months of employment to be allowed any time for dedicated training. You're expected to learn on the job if you're a junior, which they do not specify when hiring you. With no help or support from colleagues because they're that overworked. The work place was incredibly toxic, with individuals and teams being brought into calls and forced into a corner by management, instead of them asking why there were problems and supporting us. It was a constant barrage of why aren't you all doing good enough. HR are absolutely terrible. Do not expect anything to be done in a timely manner, in particular, anything related to pensions, job title changes etc. I never even got a letter or notification I'd passed my probation. Absolute joke of an MSP that's still stuck in the stone age when it comes to new technologies and features. Their motto should be 'whatever costs the least and still does the job to the bare minimum'. Salary is no where near market rate. Expect to be disappointed.
