Some of the great things about working for NCH Software are great management, work/life balance, PTO and a stable work environment,

Cons

This was not a con for me but if you have a very outgoing, social personality this office atmosphere is very opposite to that. It is small and very quiet.

Pros

Coworkers were supportive and friendly, and managers interested in helping to get things done rather than apply pressure. CEO takes a personal interest in the work of each employee. Great work-life balance, you never take your work home with you. NCH makes a wide variety of software on multiple platforms, so there are plenty of opportunities to develop skill in different languages/operating systems/software types.

Cons

The health insurance contribution is a constant per employee, so if you have a family they pay the same amount as if you were only covering yourself.

Pros

Great company to work for, for the right person. Great location, and great coworkers. Position would fair better with a person who can implement better processes. The outsourced accounting firm regularly makes mistakes, so a review of their work is needed consistently.

Cons

Company requires that you use their developed accounting software, so you have to learn and use that application, that is not as great as perhaps... QuickBooks
