Pros

The company offers a strong product with clear market demand and a loyal customer base that genuinely values the solution. For much of my time there, I appreciated the culture and work-life balance—it felt like a place where people could thrive. Unfortunately, those positives were ultimately overshadowed by how poorly my departure was handled. A healthy culture and strong values don’t mean much if they aren’t upheld when it matters most.

Cons

I genuinely enjoyed my role and the team I worked with for most of my time at the company. However, the way my departure was handled left a lasting negative impression. I was blindsided—there were no prior coaching conversations, no clear feedback, and no indication that my performance was under review. When I asked for specific reasons or metrics behind the decision, I was met with vague responses and couldn’t get a single concrete example to support what was being claimed. It became clear that a few toxic voices had a disproportionate influence, and rather than addressing concerns directly or offering the chance to improve, leadership chose to avoid confrontation altogether. This lack of transparency and backbone was incredibly disappointing from an organization that claims to value growth and accountability. The decision was executed abruptly, with minimal severance and no real acknowledgment of the impact. It’s unfortunate, because I was proud of the work I did and believed in the mission. But when a company chooses to manage people through avoidance and fear instead of honest dialogue and leadership, it erodes trust for everyone.
