Work that you do has a very visible impact in the target area. Company CEO is more accessible then most. Benefits of a small team locally with support of large team for common functions. since local teams are smallish, you get to learn and do much more.
Cons
Some positions such as software development have little to no advancement opportunities since you are almost always going to be only dealing and doing things locally.
