Pros

Company has a culture of viewing their employees as a very valuable resource. Our portal allows very flexible working conditions where possible. My experience with management at our portal as well as other managers from other portals is that they treat persons of all positions equally. The company supports having fun and enjoying work.

Cons

They could use more HR over-site in many areas. I'm sure it's difficult being spread out but believe ;they could use more people, especially since they are the administrator for the health insurance program. I would like to see more over site in how promotions are handled.

Pros

Great benefits package that has improved over time. Corporate is committed to volunteerism and giving back to communities. Each year corporate sponsors a health challenge and gives prizes and rewards to those who participate.

Cons

Working with government partners is often leading stubborn mules. As such, NIC products (web sites, applications, and services) may be top notch and leading edge in the government sector, but trail in innovation in other industries. Opportunities for corporate advancement are limited unless one is willing to move to another state. Unless you are a project manager, career ladder is limited to 1-2 steps.
