Pros

Lots of events to attend. Lots of exciting research going on at the top.

Cons

Not much attention paid to the younger interns or fellows who often just do work that doesn't require much intellectual input.

Pros

NIH is not generally affected by budget constraints as is other federal agencies.

Cons

HR, OEODM, Administrative Officers and Department Heads fail to exercise expert knowledge of federal EEO laws. Therefore they are often found in violation or on the end of lawsuits. There need to be changes in Administration across the board at NIH to change its culture.
