Pros

Thousands of really smart engineers to share ideas and collaborate with. Great benefits and competitive salary.

Cons

Nike is a very large, top-heavy corporation who shuffles around senior leadership and upper level management roles frequently. This leads to policies that stifle engineering growth opportunity. The pace of innovation is somewhat limited by politics and sheer size. Headquarters are in Beaverton, 15 miles from Portland. The commute is pretty miserable (up to an hour one way) if you want to live in the city.

Pros

Great culture and diversity, High energy

Cons

High and dry - structural re-organisations are rampant and almost never makes sense but they seem happy to reset and start all over. Fixing things that are not broken is a really huge waste of time. They need to Focus on what really needs to be fixed and not a broad stoke of a brush with the hopes of change. you are easily replaceable, dedicating your life to this Organization will only hurt you if they don’t need you they will just throw you away before you even know it .
