      Fast Pace Global Company moving towards production-level L4 autonomy

      Pros

      1. Very talented, humble, open-minded teammates - I have learned a lot from them, and always enjoy our brainstorming sessions. 2. Exciting challenging projects that require research and creativity 3. Great culture of collaboration 4. Our work will be integrated in the final product, so we will have real impact. For the same reason, we should work with different teams and will be exposed to challenges and constraints related to data collection, computation power, hardware, ... There are a lot of learning opportunities here. 5. Our CEO, Padma, is a true champion for women, and makes sure that company provides equal opportunities for men and women.

      Cons

      NIO is a fast pace company with aggressive deadlines, and projects kept changing for a while. Not everyone enjoys working in such an environment.

      - Developing world-class technology while working with leading Silicon Valley technology leaders. - Great physical environment with all the "cool" technology tools. - Outstanding funding coupled with exponential growth opportunities.

      Cons

      - Moving very fast, difficult to assimilate so many new employees from so many different corporate cultures. - Communication with the parent company in China can be very difficult.

      Pros

      One of the few EV start-ups that's set to launch a car this year! Given the price point and branding, it's set to take Tesla head-on in the Chinese market. The company has a track record of building amazing cars in a short duration of time. EP9 is a feat! ES8 is all set for taking on the China market! The engineering teams are amazing and it's a pleasure to work with so many talented people!

      Cons

      The company is young and obviously there are growing pains. That's part of working at a start-up.
