The grass isn’t that green

Pros

Can work from home 3 days a week but even that isn’t that great when companies like nationwide & usaa work from home full time.

Cons

The company started expanding to become a regional carrier a few years ago. The people on “the wall” aka upper management fast tracked it. There were tons of mistakes along the way and instead of stopping and fixing them they kept chugging along only to let them pile up. When Covid hit things in the company shifted. The focus was driven mainly on numbers and profit and less about the quality of the product, appreciation of employees, and the history of the company.the leadership is very out of touch from the ceo to most supervisors. It has been a common trend for upper management to relay the message “the grass isn’t always greener “ when asked what they are doing to retain employees. Short staffing is causing a very big issue giving a larger work load . They are having a hard time main thing people long enough to train new employees. Which tells you something if people don’t even finish training! People are burnt out and feeling unappreciated. They allow 3 day from home work week. It’s silly seeing as most employees don’t want to come in at all and have proven to be more productive at home. If your struggling to keep your head above water instead of helping you out they threaten you and take away working from home acting like it’s a privilege and not a way of life in 2022. THey have you now apply for promotions, which is counterintuitive cause most of the people who get the promotions are picked by upper management prior to applying . 9 out of 10 times the employees are left scratching their heads wondering what they did to get promoted because they aren’t qualified.
