Pros

Reliable hours, good benefits (for now), free parking (per the Benefits booklet given to new employees).

Cons

Few promotion or transfer opportunities. Old boys network of upper management. No telecommuting, little flexibility in hours. Policies vary widely by department with no logic. Some in IT work a lot of overtime with no compensation or comp time. Benefit plans are eroding each year, particularly for new hires.

Pros

None. Hiring young kids with minimal salary. Making those kids work too hard as the previous employers are not capable.

Cons

Can get fired anytime - depending on your boss. You must kiss up or gift upper management to be liked.

Pros

Decent benefits, competitive salary, friendly co-workers

Cons

Micromanagement of employees creates a stressful environment. Management needs to be more available to their staff and not close their doors. Many employees (at all levels) seem interested in just their own job. "It's not my job..." is a phrase often heard.
