Pros

Progressive company that is willing to invest in new technologies. Management now seems to look to the future with long term plans.

Cons

*About 10 years behind their competitors in technology. *Will ditch long term plans when the economy gets tough. *NOV depends on the oil and gas economy which is not stable for more than a few years at a time.

Pros

The engineering team is very helpful and take their job very seriously. They are very flexible with working with your school schedule and in case you have some vacation planned out, they are willing to give you the time off.

Cons

Union employees make it sometimes challenging for engineers to get their job done. Sometimes the culture could be a little bit tense due to problems that happened before.

Pros

Selective hiring process that weeds out most incompetent people but some still make it through. Makes work much easier when your not picking up others slack. Benefits start day 1 and all information is explained in orientation. For those working in production they provide prescription eyewear and steel toe boots

Cons

standard corporate BS where some people become complacent and put others down to ensure their survival within the company.
