      Pros

      NOV is a great place to learn. You will get tons of exposure and will be challenged, which makes it a great place to advance your knowledge and skills.

      Cons

      Depending on your manager you may have limited to no guidance which can be a a challenge. There’s also zero work life balance as there’s constant turnover, so you’ll definitely be picking up someone else’s slack much of the time. They were also extremely slow on all decisions regarding covid causing a lot uncertainties and completely avoidable stress. They eventually decided on a hybrid model (3 days in office and 2 days wfh) for most people, BUT you can’t work from home Monday or Friday. They are still stuck in the past regarding flexibility and salaries. If you are just starting your career in finance/accounting it’s a great place to learn, but definitely not a place to stay as you can make WAY more money (once you build your skills) doing WAY less work.

      Pros

      You learn about the industry and accounting field if you're dedicated. Otherwise, you'll get by with just completing your assigned tasks.

      Cons

      Management sucks. Co workers were very nice, but my manager just looked out for herself. Salary is very low. My recruiter has worked with NOV before and said they're notorious for underpaying people in the lower levels. Probably because they know some new college graduate will always be ready to step in for the same pay.

      Pros

      You can learn alot, if you find nice people that are willing to teach you. The environment isn't micromanaged, it is laid back.

      Cons

      They've laid off everyone, anyone left does 3-4 jobs rolled into 1 without raises, 401k or even basic appreciation. The tenured staff are arrogant and don't want to share any knowledge with you for their own job security's sake. The morale is so low, the managers are so out of touch, they have no people skills.. Its really just disappointing, I had high expectations of this place when I started. What once seemed like a big company and nice building is now full of empty desks, dwindling staff, shut down departments, an empty shop... what are we doing here?
