      Pros

      Job was good. As a project manager I worked Monday thru Saturday and enjoyed coming to work. I saw a lot people who worked hard and where very helpful when asked.

      Cons

      Many employees had been there a long time. 35 plus years. They were very resistant to new ideas. Over time was expected as part of the regular income. Any ideas that reduced OT were regularly shot down.

      Pros

      Lots of opportunity to learn a lot about the Lifting and Handling division of NOV. You get a lot thrown at you and you're expected to figure it out, but you end up leaning on the 'tribal knowledge" of the longtime employees to be successful

      Cons

      Poor communication from management to employees and poor communication amongdepartments (engineering, project management, purchasing). Promises made and not kept, though who could see the oil price crash coming? Two rounds of layoffs and mass retirements in my < 3 years there
