Excellent Work-Life Balance

Pros

Great Work-Life balance emphasis. Supervisors ensure reporters are only working the hours they're scheduled for, and encourages people to not get burned out. Friendly co-workers and nice working environment. Great benefits too, working for the university has it's perks.

Cons

A large coverage area with a small staff means it's hard to cover everything going on in the region. Lots of small technical problems & logistical stuff when navigating university HR. Not a lot of career advancement opportunities because of the small station size.

Music Intern

Pros

It was a great experience. Really loved it. So fun. Would definitely recommend. The tiny desk concerts, opportunity to work with great editors, and chance to produce your own pieces were great.

Cons

No real cons that I can see. Really enjoyed the experience and it definitely helped my career. Interns are given real work and treated with the same respect as staff.
