The majority of staff is great to work with.

Cons

Horrific Sr. Management. Some of the talented executive management left the firm and have not been replaced. Most key staff stay because of golden handcuffs but are extremely unhappy. It's all about the bottom line. No culture exists!

The people in my particular office are good, talented people.

Cons

It's not that NV5 is too focused on the bottom line, they are only focused on the bottom line. They treat employees as expendable resources and squeeze them financially to a level that goes far beyond the ethical gray area. They do this by by being extremely tight with raises, bonuses, and promotions (I have not received a bonus since my company was acquired by NV5 over two years ago). While individual offices can vary dramatically within the company, the behavior of upper management sends a clear message to all the people doing the work: "You are replaceable. Do not expect to be treated as if you are valued. Fall in line, or quit". I will be doing the latter.

Cons

Projects were not particularly innovative and everyone at the office seemed consistently overworked.
