Pros
The pay and benefits were fairly good after being carried over from Freescale after the buyout that closed in late 2015.
Cons
It was immediately clear, however, that jobs would be moved to Europe or Asia as much as possible. There were numerous rounds of layoffs and entire groups that were terminated. There were also numerous reorganizations including before the NXP takeover. With all the changes and moving jobs elsewhere, of course there was also very little opportunity to move up. Senior management was not good either.
