Everyone cares about the agency mission and it is awe-inspiring. Your work is limited to your office hours and you aren't expected to answer off the clock.

Cons

Managers are stuck in the old ways; our telecommuting policy supports 50% remote, however, you may not get access to the full allowance if your supervisor feels strongly about you being in the office, even if all your duties are fully digital. Additionally, I noticed a heavy reliance on younger/less established staff to perform office coverage while senior managers performed their duties from home to the fullest extent. Depending on who your manager is you will have to pry for feedback or for your annual performance review to be provided to you in a timely manner.

slow paced, very structured, little room for growth or upward movement, not very flexible with schedule or working from home, there are alot of unnecessary rules
