Pros

Ability to work as a project manager on a variety of projects. Able to be trained on all environmental laws and regulations in the state. Ability to do field work to visit project sites.

Cons

Little room for upward mobility unless there are retirements. Have to take civil service exams in order to qualify for promotions.

Pros

Great supervision, wonderful co-workers, and a relaxed environment unlike other state agencies I have worked for in the past.

Cons

Work slows down significantly in the off-season; days can be monotonous during these months, and finding meaningful tasks to accomplish can be difficult.
