      Pros

      - Generous benefits - Reasonable working hours, with occasional periods of stretch (50+ hours during these periods) - Generally amiable work environment - Interesting work at the intersection of policy and clean technology

      Cons

      - Manufactured urgency, typically a consequence of last-minute scrambling - Internal processes are not always clear - Bureaucracy means simple tasks become unnecessarily involved and complicated

      Good Company to Work for but not Personable

      Pros

      Pension option available and good benefits. Availability to work in person if that is a better work environment for you. Interesting work and research but complicated programs.

      Cons

      Not flexible for remote work outside the state of NY. Albany is a nice area 3 hours from NYC and Boston but isn't the most exciting place for young professionals. Additionally, HR was not the most understanding when it comes to personal health for employees and its difficult for new employees - there is no reasonable short term disability offered for people with critical illnesses.
