Pros

It is decent place to work at. They provide all required facilities and are quite employee oriented.

Cons

I have seen a lot of people quoting salary as good, trust me that should never be your criteria in rating a company and the kind of work it has been doing. Now lets move on to the things I didnt like. The quality of projects are below par. Code reviews are done once in a while and hence the code quality is extremely poor. They may not realise the worth of code review now, but when some critical functionality will fail badly in production, they will have to bear with the negligence. I did not find real good coders out there. Most of them are average. They have a section, called the Architecture group(do not recall exactly.), where they do comparative studies across platforms and suggest clients which one is better. C'mon, thats a sheer waste of talent. There are abundance of sources out there who are doing it and if you don't have access to it then start reading Quora or any technical blogs. This group is headed by a stubborn and over the top guy who rarely listens your ideas. But what he does really nicely is to boast about his skills and his knowledge. C'mon you fool. Haven't you heard the famous saying, "With knowledge, comes Humility". Start treating the folks like a leader and respect your colleagues. Beware, folks. If you are put into Arch dept, your 3-4 months are ruined, till the time you are put up in a project. For new joiners, its a decent place to work at. But for laterals, strive for something better. This is not the place you will do justice to your skills.

Dear ex-colleague, Thanks for your feedback. Some of it I can understand and some I find surprising, but all of it is valuable to hear because that is what you experienced and in the end it is the experience that matters. I will not comment on your criticism of a particular person in the Architecture Group, just that it seems unfair. But you will be glad to know the Arch Group is being re-organized into a number of COEs, making room for a lot of new leadership to supplement the folks we already have. We are excitedly chasing a number of new areas there. The surprising part of your review was about the quality of projects and deliverables. My view is that we are successfully doing a lot of "rocket science" work. We can't talk about most of it but we can talk about some projects like this one: http://bit.ly/1JkL74U. And there's a LOT more. Finally, I'm glad you found the company employee-oriented. In our business, our only assets are our employees. I am convinced that if we can attract and select the right people and give them a lot of freedom and room to run, we will do well. Thanks again. Hope you find us worth re-joining in the coming years :-) Best regards, Manas

Pros

1. Good learning, new technologies 2. Good hike, considering service based company, i could say best in industry. 3. Flexible timing 4. Woof higher management 5. Really brightest minds to work with. 6. Good leave policy. 7. Good performance rating policy 8. Good learning initiatives but needs more improvement 9. Good bring back home initiatives

Cons

1. Bad salary structure 2. Less onsite opportunity based on projects. If you got stuck in a project you will not get onsite opportunity for your whole life. 3. HR team needs improvement, 4. much needed improvement for food quality in cafeteria 5. Too many builds, although i have heard willing switch to tech park in future. 6. with growing very fast, quality of employees getting hired i some what compromised. 7. If you are silent and do not bluff, although you do best work in your team but you will not be considered.

Thank you for taking the time to review Nagarro. This is the best kind of review where someone provides us details of what they find good and what not so much. The latter helps us focus on improvements and the former validates the efforts that we make. Let me address some of the cons that you have raised. The salary structure comment is a bit surprising because we did change the structure based on all the feedback received internally and on Glassdoor. Is the new structure still something that can be improved? If yes, then I would really like to to get these suggestions. You should definitely reach out to HR and make them. I think (hope) that when you say HR team needs improvement you may mean HR processes need improvement. I think the people on the HR team are great. The processes on the other hand are something that we are working on scaling as we grow. As part of this effort, we are implementing an enterprise scale HRMS system to help streamline all our HR processes. I will be happy to understand from you if there are specific areas of improvement in HR that you have noticed. Please reach out to me. We are working on changing the model for cafeteria food even as I write this. Look out for changes in this area. Hiring the right people is the number one priority for me. We are investing in a lot of tools and techniques which will help us keep the same standards that we have always had even as we scale. I'd be happy to give you a preview of what is already in place and what is planned. The last point is something that is concerning for me - a fair assessment which is independent of any biases is something that is critical for us to maintain our culture. We do have the framework today as well that should disallow this from happening (you are always encouraged to talk to HR if you disagree with your performance assessment). Still, as part of the aforementioned HRMS implementation, we are making changes to the assessment process that will give HR even more transparency into the assessment process of each individual. You should feel encouraged to talk to HR or leadership to discuss all of these. We need to improve the company together. But again, let me thank you for such a detailed feedback.
