Thank you for your review. I am happy that you are finding it worth your while to be at Nagarro. Work-life balance over an year is probably the same across the board - and not related to the BU you are in. Long hours are totally a function of transient project challenges. Overall, less than 5% of the total Nagarro workforce in India spends more than 50 hours in the office in a week. From a metro connectivity perspective, we do run a shuttle service to and from the metro station - morning and evening. You should talk to GMG to find out about it. In fact we are starting a shuttle service also from Dwarka metro station. We are also working with Rapid Metro to come up with solutions to improve last mile connectivity between metro and Udyog Vihar. Increasing the use of public transportation is an important initiative for Nagarro as part of its commitment to make Gurgaon better. Thanks again for taking the time to post this review.

Lack of Java Projects

Pros

It is a good service based company to work for. There is lot of learning. Company also give emphasis on learning different technologies. Compensation is also better than most of the services based companies. If a person really wants to grow in all the respects then he can put extra efforts and company will definitely help the person in moving forward. People who are associated with the company from the beginning are at very good position now. One can think of a long association if everything goes fine.

Cons

Though it is a good service based company to work for and there is lot of learning also but I believe it lacks java projects. Many people hired for java were given some internal projects. Company's sales team is trying very hard to get the projects but I believe it still needs to do better in getting the right project. One major issue with the company is that it also lacks very large project when we compare it with big giants. But anyways company has long way to go and grow.

Thank you for leaving a review here on Glassdoor. It is true that effort and success have a very strong positive correlation at Nagarro. That is part of our culture. I don't think we have done sales by technology in a long time. We are out there to solve problems for our customers regardless of their technology choices. Some of our customers already prefer a tech stack, others look to us for a recommendation and we recommend whichever is the best suited to their problem. Having said that, we do not lack in Java projects. In fact, we are currently hiring people with Java knowledge since we need more. Some of our largest projects are Java based. Yes, we don't compete with the large companies in terms of deal size - but we regularly compete with them in the projects that we go after anyway - and we beat them. Yes, we do have a long way to go. But I expect it to be a very exciting path that we are going down on. And anyone who is part of Nagarro on this path can be assured of an exciting ride. Thank you again for your time in leaving this review. If you have anything you want to ask or discuss, I welcome you to reach out to me directly in the office as well.

Pros

1) Seminars conducted time to time to update employees about the new technologies is a good initiative. 2) Here some people really have a good command in latest technologies so if you have a good fate then you are going to learn a lot here.

Cons

1) In terms of salary package of a lateral entry employee it hardly matters to the company that what knowledge he is having, company always defines package according to the base package. 2) HR department's efficiency needs to be improved.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We see ourselves as a company with a culture of continuous learning. And that is why you notice that there is a lot of stress on learning new skills. At the same time, I'd like to believe that the situation is such that over their stint with Nagarro everyone should have an equal chance at learning; and that it is not up to fate but is driven by deliberate and fair design. I'd also like to comment on the cons that you have felt while at Nagarro. Hiring is mostly about assessing someone's skill as much as you can and then make a best judgment on their potential. So, there is always an element of "hiring for potential" in the hiring process. And any offers on salary or role are bases on this assessment. I agree that we can always do better in HR (and other areas) and are continuously improving. Having said that, if there are specific inefficiencies or examples of that you have faced, I would like to know them - so that we can address them right away. I request you to reach out to me in the office to discuss these. Thank you again for your feedback.
