Pros

Working at NGA is very interesting because the mission is relevant and ever evolving. Pay at NGA is very competitive, particularly for the Federal government. Pay wise, NGA is actually top heavy. It is one of the few government agencies where lots of people make over $100k. If you like to try new and exciting career options often, NGA is paradise. Employees are encouraged to move around from office to office and try new careers. We even have a formal program to help employees transition from one career path to another.

Cons

Although we adapt nimbly to progress our mission, we move slowly to address other internal issues, or potential upgrades. Sometimes, mid-level to lower level executive leaders micro-manage to the point that the red tape can become smothering just to make simple decisions.
