Pros

-best work culture you'll ever find -very protective of employees (the only firing wave i ever saw came with 3 months on salary to find a new position) -Accelerated technical learning for both hardware and software, i entered a mechanical engineer and left ready to be a EE or SW Engineer

Cons

-every great employee leaves for salary reasons -too much bloat makes promotions few and far between -sales leadership only hires like-minded individuals, resulting in no diversity and no creative perspectives

Pros

Absolutely solid vision and culture Great place to start a career Cares about employee development Great work-life balance Well-defined processes and structure Stable employer

Cons

Change can be slow Industry is old-fashioned and challenging for growth Pay is not as competitive and benefits/work-life balance has not kept up to compensate for it. It's improving but revenue per employee puts some practical limits. Stable employer sometimes means that not everyone is pulling their weight.
