Pros

The culture at NI is very laid-back, welcoming, and caring. There is a great sense of community there, and I felt it even as an intern.

Cons

It is a large company and campus, which can be overwhelming sometimes.

Pros

Genuine investment into employees. Fantastic exposure into the engineering world for a new graduate or intern. Despite having proprietary software and hardware, the concepts are ubiquitous throughout the engineering world and are hugely transferable into other companies. Very friendly atmosphere with good people, you will enjoy going to work!

Cons

I wouldn't plan to have a full career there! The business model is good but opportunities for progression are low. Any route upward from your first role will be through sales which can be technical but is not an engineering role in my opinion. Unless you are particularly suited to the company I would think of the job as a stepping stone rather than your new career.
