Pros

I work at NI because it feel great to go to work every morning. Great colleagues, approachable management, not too much bureaucracy for a nearly 7000 employee company. I've worked there for close to 15 years in various R&D groups.

Cons

Ok, everyone says it and it's true: salaries are not great. Move them up about 20% across the board and you have an awesome formula.

Pros

- laid back atmosphere - plenty of great project opportunities if you happen to be in the right place at right time - stable employer

Cons

- poor management could be detrimental to your career success - decisions are consensus driven - salary is OK, but mediocre reward given for skills and performance

Pros

Pretty laid back atmosphere. As long as I come in between 8ish and 930is and work about 40 hours a week they're happy. The manufacturing side is more strict about scheduling. The dress code is pretty casual, about the only people in suits are the ones in sales.

Cons

Can be a steep learning curve with some of the stuff they used.
