Pay has always been below market but it had a good work environment. Now pay is bad plus work environment is horrible. Poor leadership and no room for growth.

Good culture, friendly office environment, flexible work environment (heavily dependent on department)

Cons

Very volatile job security. Constant waves of layoffs. ZERO change management alignment after hostile takeover by Emerson Electric. Pre-Emerson NI was unparalleled in employee appreciation and treatment.

Pros

The pay and bonuses were increasing alongside a clearer pay for performance culture. US employees are generally great to work with.

Cons

Actively shifting jobs to low cost geographies and laying off US employees to cut costs. Active conflict between divisions leading to circumventing processes and policy. Constant management fire drills to shuffle around employees (akin to rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic). Office space is actively ignored outside of renovated CEO space and a single other floor. No clear guidance or motivation to return to the office. The era of a "great place to work" is now history.
