      Sporadic Work for a Company with a Worthwhile Mission

      Pros

      •Collaborating with team members •Support from manager and training (in preparation for an assignment) •Paid for preparation time as well as presentation time

      Cons

      •Due to nature of PD delivery right now, the work for a part-time coach is sporadic. •Many part-time coaches were/are brought on-board even with the above-mentioned limitations of opportunities for work. •Sometimes, the response time from upper management is lacking or slow, seemingly offered when there are fires to put out more so than as a means of fostering and maintaining open communication amongst all employees. Advice: take the time to touch base with and check in on all who report to you - by survey, monthly coach meetings, open office hours (not just for those who are working on a specific project).

      Environment has improved greatly with new CEO and emphasis on hiring quality individuals vice nepotism. Organization values their employees and has the feel of being a family. Good compensation and benefits.

      Has work to do to update systems and technology; though progress is being made.
