Pros

Working in the National Parks is a tremendous opportunity. The setting alone makes it worthwhile. The compensation is fair.

Cons

It can be difficult to get into the park system and find permanent, long-term employment.

Pros

The work is very dynamic. Your days are split between working in the visitor center, the entrance fee station, checking campground sites, and hiking trails. The uniform you are required to wear is ugly, and they don't let you keep your body piercings.
