Pros

Great to work for! Staff is generally laid back and wonderful to work with. A major plus is you get to work in some of the most beautiful areas.

Cons

The pay is is very low and makes it difficult to live on.

Pros

It is a very rewarding experience to work for your local National Park and there are many dedicated and intelligent people working alongside you, despite the bureaucratic and financial difficulties.

Cons

Many people working in my park had been there so long that it seemed like very little work was being done by many coworkers. Also, there was internal animosity between and within particular divisions, as well as a high turnover rate in certain positions.
