Pros

National Parking Service involved situations that were rapidly changing and had unexpected issues arise constantly. This truely challenges ones ability to adapt to an environment and keep a positive attitude.

Cons

The downfall to the entire industry is working hours that the rest of the city is off work. Our peek hours were 5pm-4am.

Pros

I was so proud to wear the uniform. Having the opportunity to learn so much about our parks and the history and natural wonders they protect. Getting to work with the public and helping them to understand the importance of our parks system.

Cons

Once you reach a certain pay grade as a seasonal ranger you can no longer move up in pay scale no matter how many years you put in. Its always a political game in every decision that is made.
