Unfortunately, iniatives to bring the University up to the present-day operational standards of comparable institutions are often quelled. Another phrase that is common is "well that's how we have always done it", therefore an example of lack of creativity and progress. A common phrase in the company is "thrown under the bus". That should give any applicant an idea of how management and co-workers treat one another in the company. There are many poor performers who have protection of the top executives and others must pick up the slack. Staff employees are paid as if it was the 1980's and rarely are recognized for significant contributions. Another funny iniative that the management is forcing on the employees is to have "PRIDE" for the company. The sense of pride is a feeling that is from the employee's satisfaction of the job and company's activities.

Poor management and poor decision making
