Pros

Some Pros of working for National Vision is that the full time benefits are great , like health insurance, dental, and PTO. I have a great team, and my GM is very flexible, and I absolutely love her and her positivity. SHE is really what makes working for National Vision the best because of the leadership she takes for the team and advocates for us. We just got a new DM who is great and he is a very good rule follower, which I appreciate, he is going through and eliminating any flaws or corruption with a lot of GMs in our district, and he is reenforcing the rules that should have never gotten lost or misconstrued for loopholes. We have a lot of contests and if our store wins we get some money for either snacks, a team outing, a pizza party, and other benefits for our store.

Cons

It is hard to fire people because they have to meet certain strikes before being fired. We had an employee who no call no showed at least once or twice a week for months and we could not fire her because it was not three consecutive shifts in a row. She finally self terminated. You are not allowed to go into over time which sucks because I have had to work off the clock sometimes when both the AM and GM were gone to make sure I wouldn't be in overtime. I know that's on me because I care about the business, but it would still be nice to be acknowledged for it. There is not a lot of opportunity for full time positions. They like to have multiple part time employees than full time, I am glad that I got lucky to be chosen for full time.
