Pros

No pros! At NVI, benefits are terrible, no maternity pay UNLESS you pre sign up for “short term disability” coverage during open enrollment. (So I have to decide each November if I’m going to become pregnant the next year if I want maternity pay) ridiculous!!!! Sometimes as women we DONT KNOW IF WE ARE GOING TO BECOME PREGNANT! This is such a slap to the face for all women! How dare you assume we can pre plan that, or if we deal with infertility, we might fight for years to finally become pregnant. How dare you create a loophole to avoid paying maternity leave.

Cons

Pay. Managers overwhelmed and expected to work 45-50 hours, salary expectations create issues if you have a family. You must work at least 5 days a week and must always clock in at least 40-45 hours on said 5 days or your salary pay is deducted. How is that salary…? There is absolutely no benefit to being a salary manager for this company. Please look at your salary pay scale and the cost of living in Utah. As managers if we have a family your pay scale leaves us at poverty level in a lot of states, especially with daycare and other inflated costs. Read that again, POVERTY LEVEL. I’m at a poverty level doing a optical sales/healthcare job I excel at, and I’ve had a 0.33 cent raise in 3 years. Should I feel appreciated..? Really..? Where’s the hazard pay for working everyday during the pandemic?? Where’s your empathy for us who show up to work and are overwhelmed and overworked doing 11 hour shifts with no time to take a break because we CAN NOT RETAIN A STAFF WITH THE PAY SCALE YOU HAVE SET IN PLACE!
